Methodology
How this site forms its podcast pitching advice
Everything on this site is either a description of how PodPitch works, supplied by PodPitch, or widely shared advice on pitching podcasts.
PodPitch publishes this site to explain automated podcast pitching. Product statements describe what PodPitch does: matching shows to your topic, writing a personal pitch per host, approval or autopilot, and sending from your own email. General tips are labelled as general advice. We do not publish invented numbers or reviews.
Facts about PodPitch
Statements about the product come from PodPitch itself. We keep them close to how PodPitch describes its own workflow: it searches a database of podcasts, picks shows that match your topic, writes a personal pitch for each host and sends it from your own email, with approval or autopilot.
Where we do not have a fact, we leave it out rather than guess. That is why you will not see pricing, booking rates or database sizes on these pages.
General pitching advice
Tips such as listening to a show before pitching or keeping a pitch short are general guidance that applies to any guest. We mark them as general advice so they are not mistaken for product claims.
Where an outside source helps, we link to it, for example Google's email sender guidelines (opens in a new tab) and the open Podcast Index (opens in a new tab) directory.
How comparisons are made
Our comparison tables compare approaches: pitching by hand, guest directories and PodPitch. Each row describes how that approach typically handles one job, such as finding shows or sending pitches. We do not rank named competitors, and no comparison on this site is sponsored.
PodPitch appears first in these comparisons because this is PodPitch's own site, and the tables exist to show where it differs.
What we will not publish
- Testimonials, reviews or ratings we cannot verify.
- Booking rates, reply rates or other performance claims.
- Customer names, logos or media mentions.
- Promises about rankings or results.
If this changes, it will be because PodPitch has real, supplied facts to share. See about this site.
